TOP ST.LOUIS DJs MIX IT UP TO RAISE MONEY FOR HAITI
Hanging Out for Haiti Benefit to Be Held at Former Cardinal Jim Edmond’s CLUB 15

ST.LOUIS (Feb. 8, 2010) –Music is known to soothe the soul, and after the horrific earthquake that hit Haiti, not only are the Haitians using music to heal their hearts, but a group of St. Louis DJs is turning to tunes in an effort to raise money for relief efforts. On Friday, Feb. 19, five popular local night club DJs, led by DJ FISH, will donate their time to spin for donations at Hanging Out for Haiti, a benefit at CLUB 15 in downtown St. Louis.

Starting at 9 p.m., Hanging Out for Haiti will consist of six hours of non-stop top 40, techno and electronic music from top area DJs – DJ FISH, DJ Emilio Hernandez, DJ Hart Attack, DJ Protégé, DJ Vinylbitchie and DJ Beezie. Pre-sale tickets cost $20 and are available at 15stl.com with all ticket sale proceeds going to the American Red Cross. For those unable to attend, donations of any amount can be made at 15stl.com.

“Music is an important part of the Haitian culture, so my fellow DJs and I thought it made sense to host an event that honors a shared passion for music to help raise money for much-needed relief efforts,” said benefit organizer DJ FISH. “We look forward to a great evening with some of St. Louis’ best DJs and encourage all St. Louisans to come out to the benefit and help spread the word.”

In addition to great music, attendees can expect a red carpet style walkway, getting their picture taken by the “paparazzi,” drink specials, a photo booth and raffle prizes. One lucky guest who purchases a pre-sale ticket will win the opportunity to be treated like a Hollywood star with a limo ride for 10 of their friends and a VIP table at CLUB 15.

“DJ Fish and I decided to hold this benefit because we thought it would be a great opportunity for the young and stylish to have a great time, while giving back to others,” said benefit co-organizer, Jeff Bachmann. “However, it wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity of the local sponsors that stepped up and donated their time and services.”

Co-sponsors of the benefit include local area businesses: CLUB 15, Matchbox Design Group, the Composing Room and Photoboothstl.com.
